The tea base is slightly less bitter than most earl grey teas and it is very rich and smooth. For a value priced bulk tea this earl grey is fantastic. Some have suggested it s quite a strong tea but i ve found the strength to be perfect i do prefer a darker brew. Earl grey is typically a great afternoon tea with light citrusy bergamot lifting it and lightening it.
